iCare – a Card for Carers

Writer's picture: Mogwai MediaMogwai Media

Young and Adult Carers look after someone who is ill or disabled, often a family member, unpaid.

The work unpaid Carers do is incredibly important and never more than during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Carers often have to:

  • Pick up prescriptions for the person they Care for

  • Collect additional food for their loved ones

  • Make essential trips, just like paid care workers

The ID could ensure you get priority treatment in shops and pharmacies.

Do you feel a form of ID would help you as a Carer in situations like these?

If you are a Carer and would like to apply for your own iCare Card or if you have any thoughts you’d like to share, please do get in touch on carers@credu.cymru / 01597 823800.
